• What languages does PLACES International teach?
PLACES International currently offers language & cultural orientation programs in Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, French, German and English As A Second Language. We teach other languages upon request.
• What language levels are taught?
PLACES International offers custom-designed language learning experiences. We’re happy to meet with you to assess your skills and design a program to take you from where you are to where you want to be.
• Do you offer translation or interpreter services?
Our consultants provide limited interpreting support during international hospitality engagements. We are happy to refer clients to professional text translation and interpreter service providers.
• What support can I expect for a visitor from overseas?
Our consultants are available to assist clients responsible for hosting an international guest or delegation. Share your goals and we’ll help you create a visit to remember.
• Where are the lessons taught?
PLACES International is based in Madison, Wisconsin. Most of our services are provided at our client’s location. Alternative instructional settings are available as needed.
• Who are your teachers?
Our teachers are professional educators who have lived and worked in the country about which they teach. PLACES clients value the enthusiasm, extensive teaching experience, advanced language proficiency and cultural expertise of our instructors.
• What teaching methods and materials are used?
Our teachers focus on active and meaningful language activities. Along with focused language training, our clients learn cultural tips to make them effective participants across cultures. Most of our instructional materials are custom-designed to reflect client interests and abilities.
• How much do your services cost?
PLACES International customized services are billed at competitive market rates. Fees vary according to hours of instruction, group size and development time required.
• How much time should I budget for lessons?
Schedules are designed to match a client’s learning goals, calendar and timeline for completion. Most clients prefer a weekly 90 minute session.
• Are you looking for teachers to join your team?
PLACES International LLC is a Madison, WI locally owned partnership of professional language teachers. We have occasional opportunities for highly qualified language educators and cultural informants to join our team of consultants. Please contact us for more information.
